Markussen brings with him over 40 years of experience in LNG, shipping and gas technologies. His expertise covers business development, ship management and operation and technology development for various ships for liquified gases. Prior to Kanfer, he was President of Norwegian Gas Carriers AS (Norgas) and General Manager of Westgas (Westfal-Larsen). He also held senior leadership roles at Hoegh LNG, FlexLNG, and Gotaas-Larsen. Markussen graduated with a degree (MSc) in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and an MBA degree from the University of Hartford.
Werner has over 30-year global experience in the LNG sector. Before joining Kanfer, Werner was the head of business development for a Norwegian shipping company in charge of growing commercial activities in Asia, Americas, Africa, and the Middle East. He earlier spent over 20 years in major industrial gas companies leading greenfield and brownfield projects in Europe. Werner graduated with a degree on MSc Metallurgy and Materials Technology at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden and an MBA from the Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Switzerland.
Berger brings to Kanfer over 30 years’ experience in venture capital, corporate finance, business development, M&A, and equity research. Prior to joining Kanfer, Berger held various senior leadership roles as CFO, Board Member and professional adviser to various energy and shipping companies including Fearnleys, Procom Venture and Wirescan. Berger earned his Master of Science degree in Finance at the Norwegian School of Economics. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Hagen has over 24 years’ international experience in shipping, marine and transport logistics. He was previously Partner and Head of Asia for Siem Car Carriers and VP for Marketing and Business Development East Asia for Hoegh LNG, one of the world’s most experienced operators of LNG carriers. Stig earned his Masters’ degree in Business Administration at Norwegian School of Economics. He is a graduate of the Emerging Leaders at the London Business School.
